Everything you see on the site was designed, written, and coded by me, Laszlo Vad.
The photo on the main page was shot by my talented friend, Ádám Freisinger.
Some illustrations were created with generative AI models1 (Dall-E 2, Midjourney, and ChatGPT):
AI-generated images are clearly labeled everywhere. (The rest of the images are sourced as well. Where this is not the case, the image was created by me.)
If you find bugs, typos, or any other mistakes, please drop an email at hello@laszlovad.com. Thanks!
A note on generative AI use:
I used image generators in the past, but I’m phasing them out.
Although this site is a hobby project earning zero income, and I’m not in a financial position to pay a human artist, I decided it’s better to not have any art going forward than images created by a technology that doesn’t compensate the artists.
I’m leaving up the current images until I can slowly replace them, but I’m not going to add new generated pictures to either the blog or the newsletter.
Where I am using — and will keep using — AI is coding. GitHub Copilot has been my companion when I moved the site to a new technical foundation in 2024. It helped bridge the gaps in my own knowledge and shortened the time I needed to spend on StackOverflow.
Since I only push code I can explain line by line, I’m comfortable with the use of AI in this instance.
To round this footnote off, a word about Large Language Models: I have never used generative AI to write anything. All thoughts, typos, and grammatical errors are my own. ↩
